ENTANGLEMENTA Poem by Dina DarlingLove was a token. Preciously handed then destroyed.I have wanted you Wanted you for so long Craved your taste Yearned for your touch Had the conceived notion that you felt the same Something stirred Changing the perspective I had drawn out I wanted happiness You wanted entanglement Drama of the unfit Love was a token Preciously handed Then destroyed Burned by cynical conspiracies How dare you mock me? I was not a game to be played I was on the same side Diving into your soul while you were elsewhere I was bathing in the hopes of passion Because you reached in Igniting every flame of my desires Who would not want such a thing? Who would not want the fiery hot bed I could give? The everlasting kisses The purest of hearts The hottest of dreams made into reality Forgive me for being a hopeless romantic I would have given you my world I would have reined yours too We would have been inseparable We would have made the universe jealous And now your side of the bed is cold And eerie desolation that you claimed as your own Because you grew feathers as a wicked cover up A coward who hid behind a rusted shield So badly damaged that you were blinded By the love of someone who shall never return it Instead of being blinded by the love You could have had And the love that would have been rightfully yours What a pity..... © 2011 Dina DarlingReviews
