Introduction

Life is never fair. We’re taught this from when we are babes, and the point gets proven every day of our adolescent lives. For some people though, life is entirely fair; some people have Utopian society to live in, sheltered from the harsh realities of the real world.

Of course, when that Utopian society is disrupted by the over-taking of the current Leader Board, some people may have a very hard time understanding this change.

Unfortunately, you are one of those people, and you are going to be getting a lot more surprises.

Welcome to Section 14.

Rules

2. No profanity; absolutely none. This is not a High School RP, if you can’t find a way to express passion without swearing, this is not for you.

3. If you do not fill out all areas of the character sheet, you will be auto-rejected.

4. Keep OOC comments to the OOC thread, or make an OOC prefix in your post. Do not clutter IC with OOC comments.

5. You must read the entire Setting & Background section. If you cannot summarize it to me in a satisfactory manner, you will not be accepted.

6. Follow the plot points, which I will post to the OOC thread occasionally. Failure to do so will result in your removal from the RP.

Setting & Background

Section 14 is on the fictional planet Molaris, in the nation of Tempat. Unlike on Earth, Pangaea did not occur on Molaris, leaving most of the world connected by land forms. Molaris has an almost uflly-connected continent, surrounded by water.

Previously to this story, Section 14 was run by one Madeline Rotus; the Head of State for Section 14 for a total of 23 years. Madeline comes from the line of Rotus’ who have lead Section 14 since the overruling of the republic form of Government, some 200 years ago.

Section 14 is officially titled ‘Parva Parthas’, meaning ‘Small Sanctuary’; while it is most commonly called Parthas by it’s citizens.

The demonym of Section 14 is officially ‘Parthaian’. The population of Section 14 is roughly 12, 980 people in total; the majority of those people being between the ages of 10 �" 23.

Section 14 is the 14^th section of the nation of Tempat; hence the name. It is bordered by water, while the land is predominantly green forest area. There are only 2 major cities in Section 14, Parva Parthas and Sepeli Satama (Metal Haven); the latter will be introduced later.

The official language of Section 14 is English, while other languages are spoken (Spanish, Latin, etc). Molaris’ timeline is parallel to that of Earth, allowing for the same basic rules of physics and evolution to be upheld, without contact with Earth.

Parthaians are a varying multitude of ethnic appearances, while the majority is olive-toned in complexion. It is not common for a Parthaian to be pale-toned, unless there is a medical reason behind it; sickness is not common in Section 14.

Parthaians have a range of religions, most centering on Judeo-Christian beliefs, and Polytheism (such as the Greek). While the majority is religious, the practices of religion are kept to the home in most cases; Churches and official gathering places do not exist.

The Parthaian Government was recently destroyed by an Anarchist Group who has yet to disclose a name for themselves. They have replaced the “Old World” government with one consisting of a handful of their leaders.

The characters are currently unaware of this overthrowing, and will be notified in-character.

Land Layout (Parva Parthas)

Parva Parthas has a total population of 3, 200 people. The majority of the towns’ landscape is a rich soil, thoroughly covered in Bahia grass. There is one continuous road through Parva Parthas, the majority of which is foundation for the town’s community (housing, shopping, etc.)

Parva Parthas is very flat, with little hills or inclines. The steepest incline in the actual town is the road from the main town, to the Oceanside. Exiting the town and heading north (to Sepeli Satama) also has a steep incline, as well as rather mountainous and rocky roads. Travel to the City is rare, except in cases of government meetings, or when a farmer needs to sell his merchandise outside of the town.

In the above map, the town of Parva Parthas is illustrated. The north exit leads to Sepeli Satama (the City), while the south leads to a rather large road block [Note: Characters may not enter this area until it is ‘unlocked’ by the Game Master].

In the lower left of the town is where most of the Parthaians reside; the total area is ~23, 136 sq. ft. and houses nearly half the population of Parva Parthas; given their eco-friendly existence, the average household of five people lives in a 250 sq. ft home. Some farmers live on their fields in the grass areas, building small shacks for sheltering purposes. Houses are also spotted along the roads, especially towards the entrance to Sepeli Satama. There are very few residents along the beachside, but houses can be seen along the stonehedge surrounding the town.

For character purposes, the Game Master will give you the general location of your character’s house based on their background and introduction.

Appearance:

Aipani has a petite structure, standing at 4’ 11’’ in height, weighing roughly 60 pounds. Inherited from her mother, she has long mud brown hair, and a button nose that makes most girls jealous; her father passed on her golden speckled eyes, and long fingers.

Aipani looks very frail, mostly due her medical afflictions. Since she was born, Aipani has been prone to get infections, usually resulting in her being bed-ridden for weeks at a time.

Although weak at times, Aipani manages to maintain some level of activity. Her skin is as golden as her eyes, and as tanned as the bark of a Pearwood tree. Her skin tone most closely resembles her mother, though the tanned burn can be attributed to her time spent in the sun.

Personality: Aipani is very monotonous in her personality. She is not easily excitable, and does not smile quite often. Although her world is perfect, she finds flaws in the simple happiness that everyone enjoys; since her sister died, she has had a very grim outlook on life.

Background:

Aipani was born in 2006 to Ama and Valentine Mors; their first-born child, and the elder of a set of twins. Aipani and her twin, Abbi, were very close growing up. They were identical in nearly every way, a loved each other.

Aipani’s mother and father worked as a seamstress and carpenter, respectively. They raised her to love everyone, and to look for the bright side in everything; although nothing dim every really happened to the Mors family.

In January of 2015, Aipani’s twin passed away. This was the first death that Aipani had really experienced, that wasn’t expected from old age. Aipani, and her family, went into a depression after Abbi’s death, Aipani has still not overcome her grim response to the situation.

Aipani currently attends a secondary school, the only one in Parva Parthas, and is focusing mostly on her natural studies.

Character Introduction:

‘Why didn’t you stay with me?’

The look on Abbi’s face tore Aipani’s heart to shreds; she promised she would always protect her sister, and she’d failed horribly at keeping that promise. Aipani stuttered, searching for an answer, but Abbi’s face quickly faded into the black background of her memories.

“Abbi!” The blissful silence that greeted Aipani’s shriek was disturbed only for a moment, before calming itself again. Her labored sigh had become familiar to the serenity that surrounded her room.

Aipani sat up in her bed and looked at the cylindrical clock beside her bed; the amount of light within it seemed to say it was only 4AM.

She couldn’t take four more hours of this.
