Most Lost Child

Ode to the Most Lost Child-

You are not alone

Even if you’re homestuck,

And don’t own a phone;

You are not alone.

Ode to the Most Lost Child-

You walked from the light,

Your heart is set on nothing else,

But happiness, right?

Yet you still loathe the nights.

Ode to the Most Lost Child-

You care for her yourself,

Can’t rely on anyone else;

It’s a burden and an honor,

Above anything else.

Ode to the Most Lost Child-

Have you giggled yet?

I doubt it since I haven’t said

A happy word since we met.

Ode to the Most Lost Child-

Dream of amber waves of grain,

Someday you’ll be in a place like that again;

And even when you see red, you should remember too,

Words of comfort will always surround and walk with you.

Ode to the Most Lost Child-

Laugh instead of cry,

Don’t forget the moments shared between you and I;

And when the moon rises high in the night sky,

Howl like the wolf you are,

Tell the stars goodnight.

Ode to the Most Lost Child-

You are not alone.

Even if you’re homestuck,

You’ll never be alone.

Losing and Finding

Losing and finding,

Lost and found;

The key to my heart,

Buried deep in the ground.

Losing and finding,

Lost or Found,

I’ll never forget you,

Even if you don’t stick around.

Losing and Finding,

It’s a play on words,

For the sweetest flower,

Known to the birds.

Losing and Finding,

My sanity and health;

If you give your heart,

To someone else.

Losing and Finding,

It’s a simple thing;

Yet as precious,

As your diamond rings.

Losing and Finding,

I love and hate,

To see you in this limbo state.

Losing and Finding,

You are my dear,

We’ll dare for the distance,

Year after year.

Lost and Found,

I’ll see you around;

The key to my heart,

Deep beneath the ground.

Hunger

There is a feeling, that someone knows;

A grumbling, tumbling, burning foe.

A feeling that consumes your every thought,

Now matter how hard the thoughts are fought.

A feeling of utter emptiness,

Despair of the guttural globe,

A hunger that only food can fill,

But God knows when that will.

A thing that people see as far away,

Surely not in our own States!

But lo, behold, you do not know,

The seeds that your dear government sows.

I know it for myself,

And everyone else,

The feeling of feeling

Like an empty shelf.

The feeling whispers, still,

In my ears.

The empathy I feel is always near,

I refuse to let go of that which I know.

Hunger abounds,

Yet food is plenty.

Why can it not reach the mouths of many?

Has our world degraded,

So severely faded,

Into a state of uncaring demise?

I refuse to deny the tears that I cry,

Thinking of those without.

It’s only a blessing,

No work of man,

That I can eat when I can.

But it is a curse,

From the bowels of earth,

The pure greed that has consumed man.

Those who deserve it,

So poorly nourished,

But the worse receive it all.

We hunger for fairness,

They hunger for a meal.

We all hunger for change,

But some don’t have time to wait.

To those who feel it,

That evil reminder,

Your last dinner was so for away-

I beg you to go on your merry way,

Justice will stand by you all someday.

That hunger,

Sad hunger,

Shall fall away.

Captain, My Captain

Oh Captain,

My Captain,

Where for art thou?

I sit by window,

Waiting to see You,

But you’re nowhere to be found.

Oh Captain,

My Captain,

Have You forgotten about me?

You left me at sea,

Promising You’ll return to me.

I wait for the day,

My Captain will say,

‘Come back and join Me’.

‘Till then I’ll wait,

Dreaming of your Golden Gates,

Making sure my heads on straight.

Oh Captain,

My Captain,

I’m waiting for Thee.

Just Another

Just another hole in the wall,

Nothing exciting,

Nothing at all.

Just another girl to know,

Nothing special,

No stupendous show.

Just another word to say,

No definition,

No meaning.

Just another feeling hurt,

Only matters,

As much as dirt.

Do you see everything,

Just another simple thing?

You’re just another,

Mindless bugger,

Doing nothing at all.

But rest assured,

Your lack of thought,

Is more harmful than naught.

So before you go,

Remember I say,

Today isn’t just another day.

Valentine’s Day

If it weren’t for you I’d be forever alone,

Lost without someone to call my own,

Or keep me warm when I feel cold.

Valentine, you are to me,

Every day a new mystery.

You and I were meant to be,

Our hands fit, so very neat,

Uniquely tailored you to me.

I’ll love you now, while we are young,

And until our time is up.

You are all I’ll ever need,

Lifetime Valentine you are to me.

Phantom

The stage lights buzzed around the players,

Soothing sounds void of all naysayer,

A simple night of musical grace.

I wished so much,

For a longing touch,

But my love was nowhere to be found.

You waltzed into my heart,

A glorious start,

A whirlwind of a romance.

But by moons fall,

You were nothing at all,

Completely dissolved to the dark.

Whether a figment or a Phantom you be,

That night was simple harmony,

Void of all naysayer,

Stage lights on all the players.

And when I sit with my Ivory Keys,

I’ll remember the words you spoke to me,

‘I am your mask, it’s me they hear,

Give them a show and sing my dear’.

Whether a figment or Phantom you be,

Your song is always safe with me.

Ouroboros

I watched the snake coil,

I battled my inner turmoil,

Told myself it would be fine.

Life kept going,

The wheels kept turning,

The caterpillar became a butterfly.

The snake bit me,

Once and twice,

It promised me it would be nice.

I trusted,

Lusted,

Maybe it didn’t lie.

The cycle broke,

When we spoke,

Told me I was it,

And it was I.

That snake lied,

One night it cried,

Blood in its eyes,

Devouring itself, it tried.

It ate and ate,

The night grew late.

Like the Ouroboros,

We destruct ourselves,

Hoping to rebirth again.

But truth be told,

All that’s gold,

Isn’t good my friend.

The shiny appearance,

Is mere dissonance,

Waiting for you at the gates.

Like the Ouroboros,

We love till we hate,

We think we’re great,

It’s all fake.

Like the Ouroboros,

We’ll self destruct,

Till nothings left of us.

Don’t break yourself,

To remake yourself,

You’ll only end up lost.

Ouroboros,

It only lies.

Spitting venom,

It still cries.

My Prayer

My Father, Who Art in Heaven,

Hollowed Be Thy Name,

I pray You lead me,

And my brethren,

To be with You again.

My Father, Please forgive me,

For the mistakes I’ve made today,

And prevent me from again wandering astray.

My Father, I ask for meekness,

Keep my head bowed down;

Please remind me, those sins behind me,

Subvert me to the Crown.

My Father, Please protect me,

From the evils of the world;

Let my children, sons and daughters,

Prosper and live well.

Please remind me of my faults,

Not to judge based on others’,

Please help me to treat all,

Like my sisters and my brothers.

This I pray,

In Your Holy Name,

Amen.

Oh Darling, Tell Me

Oh darling, tell me, how do you see me?

As a bird in the sky, wild and free?

Or shy, and timid, a bit mousey?

Oh darling, tell me, are we meant to be?

Your hands fit in mine,

So prim and neat.

Oh darling, tell me, why do you scream?

Are you not happy, joy through the seams?

Are you upset with me? Or at everything?

Oh darling, tell me, why do you cry?

I hate to see those tears fall from your eyes.

You tell me its nothing, I know that you lie,

Why won’t you tell me what’s gone awry?

Oh darling, tell me, why do you do this?

Saddened my heart is, nostalgic for your kiss.

I do not wish to ever again, see you quite like this.

Oh darling, tell me, do you love me so?

I wished to ask, but you told me to go.

And when I returned, lo and behold,

You were lying faint, blue and cold.

Oh darling, tell me, why did you die?

You ended your life, and the ‘you and I’.

I will always remember you, when I cry.

Oh darling, tell me, was this what you felt?

As if the worst card in the deck, to you, was dealt?

I wish only you’d told me, if only, if only.

Oh darling, you should’ve told me.
