True love lasts forever.

Valentine’s Day

 

If it weren’t for you I’d be forever alone,

 

Lost without someone to call my own,

Or keep me warm when I feel cold.

Valentine, you are to me,

Every day a new mystery.

 

You and I were meant to be,

Our hands fit, so very neat,

Uniquely tailored you to me.

 

I’ll love you now, while we are young,

And until our time is up.

You are all I’ll ever need,

Lifetime Valentine you are to me.

I love this poem; it's so sweet :)

People make a huge hullabaloo about Valentine's Day, but in my opinion, everyday is Valentine's day. I mean, gosh, if I really loved someone, I'd show it everyday [not that I do atm]. The acrostic part is so unique. I love this poem; simple, yet awesome.

This is so beautiful and very believable. Unlike most love poems I've read, it seems to be more about the simple happiness of sharing love with someone rather than the glory of being in love. I like how you made the first letters spell down "I LOVE YOU," that was very creative. The last stanza, although it doesn't spell anything, is very strong and sweet, a great finish to a well-written piece. Thank you.
