Just Another

 

Just another hole in the wall,

Nothing exciting,

Nothing at all.

 

Just another girl to know,

Nothing special,

No stupendous show.

 

Just another word to say,

No definition,

No meaning.

 

Just another feeling hurt,

Only matters,

As much as dirt.

 

Do you see everything,

Just another simple thing?

 

You’re just another,

Mindless bugger,

Doing nothing at all.

 

But rest assured,

Your lack of thought,

Is more harmful than naught.

 

So before you go,

Remember I say,

Today isn’t just another day.

I like this. It started out a bit downgrading, as if it was a depressing poem about how worthless everything is (I've seen a few of those :P) but the strong ending made it really hopeful and helped bring out a strong message almost warning people not to fall into that hopeless rut it seemed to first encourage. Nicely done and very well penned. Thank you.

Hm, Different. Definitely picked up and like Grey said; I enjoyed that you threw a bit of hopefulness in there. This was pretty well written. I don't know what other input to offer. I do enjoy sad poems (a lot) but I can appreciate this as well.
