My Captain

My Captain

A Poem by Miss Evans
"

Inspired by Kamikaze by Owl City; second verse.

"

Captain, My Captain

Oh Captain,

My Captain,

Where for art thou?

I sit by my window,

Waiting to see You,

But you’re nowhere to be found.

Oh Captain,

My Captain,

Have You forgotten about me?

You left me at sea,

Promising You’ll return to me.

I wait for the day,

My Captain will say,

‘Come back and join Me’.

‘Till then I’ll wait,

Dreaming of your Golden Gates,

Making sure my heads on straight.

Oh Captain,

My Captain,

I’m waiting for Thee.

Wow! It's the first line of most of the verses in Walt Whitmans poem. Great poem!
