Expository Essay Outline

Directions: Complete the following outline using the research and notes you have done over the past week.  Please use your best English skills to complete this outline and make it thorough enough to illustrate you have done extensive research on your topic.  Your outline needs to be in your own words unless you are using a direct quote.  If you use a direct quote, you must cite it.

Thesis Statement: America was founded on symbolism; the national tokens and designs, mistakenly attributed to the nation’s Christian heritage, are collectively related to a very esoteric American history.

Founding Fathers

Topic Sentence (First evidence of Proof): The Founding Fathers of America are the foundation of our national traditions, and the symbols that we use to represent our nation.

Quote or Summary: Ten of America’s founding fathers, including George Washington, were Freemasons.

Quote or Summary: The symbols incorporated into American history are greatly influenced, if not directly derived, from Masonic history and symbols.

The Rosicrucian and Masonic Influence

Topic Sentence (Second evidence of Proof): Rosicrucian and Masonic societies had a great influence on the founding of America, and the national symbols and emblems that it would hold.

Quote or Summary: Benjamin Franklin, one of the most notable forefathers, was directly involved in Rosicrucian and Masonic societies.

Quote or Summary: Consultants involved in the creation and design of the seal of the United States were also involved in Rosicrucian and Masonic societies.

Confusion with Christian Symbolism

Topic Sentence (Third evidence of Proof): The symbols of the Rosicrucian and Masonic societies have been commonly mistaken as Christian symbols; it is a fact that these symbols have much more esoteric histories.

Quote or Summary: The symbols in the Seal of the U.S. are directly tied to Masonic symbolism.

Quote or Summary: The popular belief that America was founded on Christianity is a result of misinformation, and propaganda, given by the forefathers and designers of American imagery.

The Dollar Bill

Topic Sentence (Fourth evidence of Proof): The dollar bill, one of the most important items America created as a nation, is covered in symbols relating to non-Judeo-Christian beliefs.

Quote or Summary: The recurring theme of “13” on the Dollar Bill relates to more than the 13 initial colonies in America.

Quote or Summary: The reverse of the US seal, featuring the pyramid missing its capstone, is one of the most easily recognizable symbols of the Masonic belief system.

Why the Symbols?

Topic Sentence (Fifth evidence of Proof): Freemasons rely on symbolism to get their message out, the hidden meaning behind their symbols is only fully-known by high-degree masons; this allows for the general public to be mislead by what they see, while training the eye to see certain images and associate them with specific concepts.

Quote or Summary: The repeated use of symbols in America allows the general public to associate those symbols with America and its publicized history.

Quote or Summary: It is a well-known fact that when a person sees something repeatedly, and is used to the imagery provided, they carry that image in their memory banks for very extended periods of time; the use of certain symbolism, in association with good, trains people to be agree with the symbols and the ideals they represent.

The Age of Reason and Rosicrucian Plans

Topic Sentence (Fifth evidence of Proof): Thomas Paine, a forefather of the US and known Rosicrucian, provided inspiration and foundation for the idea of ‘The Age of Reason’.

Quote or Summary: The ‘Age of Reason’ is referenced as a coming time in the Georgia Guidestones, a mysterious national landmark in Elbert County, Georgia.

Quote or Summary: The pamphlet ‘Age of Reason’, written by Thomas Paine, openly questioned the legitimacy of the Bible (the heart of Judeo-Christian beliefs) and criticized organized religion; the pamphlet was a best-seller in the U.S., and encouraged many to turn to deism.

The Georgia Guidestones

Topic Sentence (Fifth evidence of Proof): The Georgia Guidestones are a mysterious landmark, with an unknown origin; the guidestones seem to be the Ten Commandments of the new Age of Reason.

Quote or Summary: The tablet at the base of the stones has a simple description of the Guidestones, as well as a reference to their sponsors and creator. There is also a tablet that reads ‘Let These Be Guidestones to an Age of Reason’.

Why It Matters

Topic Sentence (Fifth evidence of Proof): Whether or not someone is religious or not is irrelevant to the fact that knowing the truth about what you serve and support is important; being fed misinformation, or intentional disinformation, is not fair to anyone.

Quote or Summary: People who believe, or support, something because of what they are told about that thing are subject to change their minds when they learn that what they thought they believed in, was not the truth of the matter.

                        Quote or Summary:

“2Cor 4: 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

4  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
