I Stand Here

I Stand Here

A Chapter by Miss Evans
"

A poem written on November 14. Spurred from a random thought I had about someone that I'd rather forget.

"
I Stand Here

I stand here and I wish that it was us,
Standing in the corner holding hands.

I try not to stare at them,
Seething silently at the bliss they must have.

I stand here and I wonder what it is like not to care,
And I remind myself I can't go there.

I stand here and I watch their smiles and laughs,
They seem so oblivious.

I stand here and I shake away the feeling,
That longing, empty feeling inside.

I stand here and I remember you,
For all the good and bad.

I Stand Here and I Wish,
I wish that I had that,
That happy oblivious love.

Why won't you stand with me?

Somewhere behind the crowd of faces, waits an onlooker, who studies the oblivious beauty quietly. The question is different, yet to no ends do their longings quell. His question is surfacing and her's is a statue among the others that litter her bothered mind.

She longs for a past figure and he long for his fast approaching figure.
Both will find love in the queer of places.
That happy oblivious love.

When will she realize I'm waiting?

I like the title of the book. " Odds and Ends." Interesting choice of title! :P I beg to differ. It's a rather upbeat day, it just takes a little sunshine and smiles to see it! * points upward * :P Just be patient.

Did I mention I love this piece?
Flawless.
