Feel the unfelt

Feel the unfelt

A Poem by Passenger
"

a poem about feeling and understanding things more..

"
Why is it so hard for people to feel things?

I mean, like really feel things. Like this feeling that you get when you feel a certain smell like its stucked in your own skin

Perhaps this feeling you get when you wake up in the morning and you can actually feel the smell of fresh coffee even though it's not yet there

Why people cannot really feel?

Are we too afraid to feel?
Or are we really even much more afraid of what we will actually feel?
Are we scared of our own feelings? Is that so?

And if that's the case,
Are we actually afraid of our expectations that will eventually turn out decieving our feelings?

People are just people.

They want to touch things, smell things, feel them. Actually feel them.
But sometimes ,that ain't easy. You have to turn to yourself , think things off , turn in all possible ways and even. . . hurt your own feelings.

In that case, congratulations
You're one step near discovering your true colours.
Those colours that you try so freaking desperate to hide,
those colours that you don't seem to even know them yourself.

In retrospect,
you have to keep looking, keep feeling, keep tasting and all.

As long as you keep on reminding yourself that you have more to give, more to receive , this, eventually, will help you feel things more.

Do you ever wonder why?

I mean, why don't we understand the people that we feel for the most, more?
Because we cannot really feel .
We build walls between ourselves and our own feelings and we destroy any possible evidence of real feeling.
Why don't we just tear down all these f*****g tall walls and start over?
Would it really be that bad if, we actually, start to feel?
The choise is yours.

This was not poetic and calling it a poem is a misnomer. However, good writing is not confined to poetry and this writing can be considered as another form of writing. I would consider this to be an essay. Essays usually start with a thesis statement or question. This starts with the question: "Why is it so hard for people to feel things?" It then proceed into a series of four further questions that as written do not support the topic. "Why people cannot really feel?" is weak as a question, but would be strong as a statement. The three question that follow are a word salad that can be condensed into one word : Fear.

This was really good! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it! The grammar could be improved upon, as well as the punctuation, and I would be willing to help with that if you need. Well done!
