I made a mistake.

Im sorry for the words that were said.
I’m sorry for failing to see that the only lie
that you ever told to me
was supposed to make me hate you...
So that I wouldn’t miss you.
So that I would move on,
dismiss you.
Forget you...
No longer love you.
Keep my emotions high above you.
You said that you betrayed me.
Your’ words destroyed me.
Brought me down to the earth,
But I see now...    
It was only for my rebirth.
You weathered my soul
and you brought me to tears.
I called you a w***e in return,
but still my love burned.
You sacrificed the only one that you could trust.
Because you thought I would never move on.
You abandoned yourself,
just to save my emotions in the end.
Weeping over the letters I would never send.
You said It was worth...
Not half of what I did for you.
But I know that just cannot be true,
you made me the one that I am.
And saved me from my own destruction,
though I couldn’t have know at the time.
You did this all for me.
