Within You

Within You

A Poem by D. Nelson
"

This is an odd piece for me... i like how it sounds, i guess.

"
The last day ended as a good as any,
put your sins to rest,
here the apocalypse lies.
There is no way that you could know...
that tomorrow angels would set fire to the skies!

Bullshit!

You say.
but your words will choke by the end of this day.
And you,
you say youll never look back,
but I see you cower when the beast attacks.
Now run!
And you better hide well.
you are safe inside your cell
And the demon,
he comes for your soul,
and if not you will pay his toll.
Your death!
Life is at stake.
Chose to obey the snake,
or burn.
And burn you will.
Pay the price for those you kill!
In the end,
its all the same,
it all ends but you still play..
This f*****g game!

Now...
Bear witness unto...
As the flower unfurls into its own grave.
Pushing the light for the death of us all.
Until you find,
the darkness within,
it lives with your sin.
It will be awaken when near is the end...

And...

Now watch!
The skeletons rise from earth,
the soulless arrival
and their wretched rebirth.
Now hear the angels
as they blare trumpets of war...
Once opened you cannot close this door!
Oh and you and I...
We cannot not kneel,
the secret must not be revealed,
until the end...
Of this world.
And to begin Anew!
Now...
Bear witness unto!
As you watch the end...

Begin within you.

I wonder when you are not religious you write about it, then you are like me. :=) smile. I adored the psychological character of the message, don't we daily fight with the conscience hidding this or that and allowing something what we later think, it shouldn't be. "As the flower unfurls into its own grave.
Pushing the light for the death of us all.
Until you find,
the darkness within,
it lives with your sin. "--------I liked this, because it made me think that darkness is something within my upper instance and loved how you poetically exposed this. Great poem, be well.

i'm impressed with your style of writing, I find my poetry very tame in comparison to some i've read on here, i guess i hold my stronger emotions a lot more secretively than some..lol it's a very descriptive piece and I enjoyed it immensely. :)
