I want it back

I want it back

A Poem by D. Nelson
"

it's exactly what it sounds like.

"
Why?
How can you never see at all,
just oh how far I fall,
just to show you.
Just so you will know
what you never had to let go.
Oh how?
And when youve left me all alone,
abandoned freezing without a home.
I still cannot find you.
I just want to tell you.
Now why?
Why do you turn you back away,
why must you look the other way,
why do your eyes never stray...
Just to glance me.
Why dont you love me?
And When?
When can I tell you how,
and you seem to always ignore me now.
You never hear me.
You barely know me....
You never will...
Ill never know the thought of you,
not passing my existence through and through
until youve lost me...
And Ive lost you.
But once you leave I still need,
I still want,
I still erne..
For what you approve,
I look within myself...
What must I improve?
Oh what must I change,
for your to see me,
how can I rearrange for you to believe in me.
Oh I just cant grasp,
do you want a child or do you want a man?
I cannot seem to understand,
what it is that you demand.

Where are you now?
Why do you lose me in this crowd,
why cant you tell apart,
from the strangers and one of which you share a part.
I cannot grasp within my hand,
what part I have within your plan.
But I still love you...
And I just want it back,
all you owe is what I lack,
if not yours then mine,
I want It back,
until I go into attack,
frenzied fists full of fear,
afraid I will lose you in my early year.
And I wont find my way through...
This wall of hate that you erect,
I just want one ounce of damn respect...

To come from your lips..

it's strong and filled with emotion, I always hold back so much but you let it all out and that's the courageous part of you that I admire. Excellent write !!

Whether this is actually based on the lyric chunk or not, you got the song embedded all through it. So either you're an amazing writer, or you got amazingly lucky and submitted something so relevant I can't tell the difference lol. I love it. Thank you for entering.
