Truth

Truth

A Poem by D. Nelson
"

im not sure... its just thoughts. But how do you feel about truth. you never really know what it is.

"

So here I am alone,
that’s just the way it goes.
Allegiance,
the darkness.
Resigned in the winter and its throws.
Stomp out my morality,
wait for life to put me back in the ally,
to lurk amongst the shadows of my own reality.
Consume the hate of those I loved,
and rid myself of the mysteries I solved,
just to piece together the world on which it all revolved.
Committed,
Involved,
what I should never have been.
It goes,
One broken heart,
two broken heart,
three...
And now im gone .
Please to not resuscitate,
go forth without me,
my call is to sit here and await my fate.
Find the questions to the answers,
of all the lost causes.
Even the skeletons judge you
as they watch from your’ closet.
Come’n girl you gotta use your’ common sense
to see through the compliments,
and read all the cards and the letters that your’ mommy sent.
And we all need someone we can place the blame on,
but it always seems to stay  the same one.
And when you turn your’ back,
you hear the personal attacks,
criticizing you for everything that you ever lacked.
But deep down you know its true.
In fact,
its everything that comprises you.
You consist of Resistance,
it fuels the piston that push forward your’ indifference.
And that’s the picture in your’ head.
That’s the proof.
An image of what you believed was the truth,
taking one final leap off a 30 story roof.

very descriptive yet ellusive, I find your writing to be excellent and filled with introverted thought. I enjoyed this piece :)
