TriggerA Poem by Emma DeBoerWritten in 2010
I've got this vision.
A vision of another world. This world has a man And his daughter. They're all alone. All they've got is Eachother. This man would take a bullet For his little girl. He'd give her the world. The daughter has a smile That stretches from Ear to ear. She's got a laugh That can take your breath. The world is perfect. Just a man And his daughter. When I wake from this vision I feel tears in my eyes. For I have not a father That would take a bullet. But he would trigger one. I have not a smile Stretching from ear to ear. Just a frown. This vision is a wish That will never be granted. Oh, Father. Pull the trigger. © 2013 Emma DeBoerReviews
