Silly You

Silly You

A Poem by Emma DeBoer

I find it amusing
How you've seen this done
Two times already.
We become failures.
You think you can help the next
Who come along?
This world is full of
Hypocrisy.
You don't seem to understand.
We're not going toc give up.
We're going to have out way.
You don't see that
Perfection Kills the rebellious.
You're trying to spread this plague.
You think it's going to
Better us?
Babe, I'm just curious,
What is the benefit of this perfect poison?
You think we're naive and lost.
Darling, you worry too much.
Our antics will give us experience.
Your tears will bring us
Laughter.
Why can't you see that
Perfection kills the rebellious?
