Sinking Sand

Sinking Sand

A Poem by Emma DeBoer
"

Written in 2010

"
Taking every last pedal
& feeling them
Bleed.
Saying that you love me
Leaves you only to
Plead.
Drip, drip, drip.
Every word falls from you.
Lies, lies, lies.
Every blade helps you
Through.
Sinking sand?
Is it a helping hand?
Drowning dreams.
It isn't what it seems.
I'll throw you through
The window.
I'll drag you through the blistering snow.
When will you learn?
