ExceedA Poem by Emma DeBoerWritten in 2010
Sin rises
wet, cold, & guilty. You feel it burning up your skin like acid. Each time you speak your tongue becomes more paralyzed. Do you think your mommy would be proud? You think she'd be proud to see you in your condition? Kid, you're getting eaten alive out there. You could really use some help. Don't fall further. Don't dig deeper. Climb up that wall. Come out on top. Sin will sink. Dry and defeated. © 2013 Emma DeBoer |
