Rhetorical

A Poem by Emma DeBoer
"

Dedicated To Briana Morgan written in 2010

"
What sense is there
when reason is hiding?
What life is there
when death is prowling?
What happiness is there
when people are crying?
How does one love
when all you get is hate?
How do you feel
when the world has gone numb?
A simple answer.
You maintain hope.

A wonderful utilization of brevitas; then again, that's the beauty of all rhetorical questions. Of course, this piece begs the question: how does one maintain hope? And the reader would be interested in your solution.

Very nice work.
