I Surrender

I Surrender

A Poem by Digvijay Singh

I have promised you so much love, love
I keep it. under my pillow, in the closet,
the fridge, bedsheets, in my milkshake
At the edge and inside of gray clouds
Oceans won't be enough to store them
Nor the years i have left in this lifetime
How dwarf size this infinite cosmos feels
I have filled everything there is with you
I have breathed too long in your aroma
Now i walk grounds as your free captive.
I see no control. I stop nowhere to rest
Life, months, seasons, this and to come,
My all, now belongs just to you, my love.

My main complaint about love poems (you may have already heard my gripe) is that they sound so predictable with often-used phrasing. Your love poem shines becuz it's the exact opposite of this. You use so many uninhibited ideas to show instead of tell with brightly sparkling imagery! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

This is really beautiful, the all-consuming love. We have to relinquish control, love has no control. I enjoyed this a lot.

Beautiful heartfelt words that would resonate even in the coldest of stone hearts.

This is exquisite, a beautiful homage of love to your love. The heart always has more room for love. Like a lotus, it blooms perpetual, eternal, within our soul. Beautiful!
