Marigold

Marigold

A Poem by Digvijay Singh

I should water the flowers
in garden outside
It's been so long
Rain alone cannot nurse
the amber marigold

You are right my new friend. Must water the flower for her to grow and expand. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

You write about those of us living in climates without rain for months at a time. Nothing grows here without watering in summer/autumn! But I also love how your message is an analogy for living without necessary nurturing like love or acceptance. I also love your choice of "marigold" -- such an iconic flower, being brightly colored & hardy against pests & drought (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
