You thought you won?

You thought you won?

A Poem by Digvijay Singh

Disapprovals you have for me

Keep them to self

For the rock i have in my chest

Won't take them through..

Put a knife or burn me whole

All you will see.. My ashes

Flying over your false entitlements

Oh! You thought you won?

Revise your thoughts

for clouds on your head, take my command

Can pour rain, can pour thunder.

All you inhale

will make you breathe just to poison your roots

Ounce of my flesh, venom in my veins

Beatless heart, some afraid past..

Seven seas, that mountain tall

They all dance now to your fall.

And oh!

You thought you won?

To be honest, I don't like heartbreak poems where the narrator is crying like a victim. I love your way of showing how this can be done with attitude & confidence & sarcasm! Sometimes we have to get mad to let go of a situation that is not good for us. The attitude you show in your poem reminds me of how we get up the courage to find a better situation. Love the sarcastic title question (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
