Lady of the DanceA Poem by DiewithmeDance is beautiful
You danced near the fire, your legs hold the scars.
You danced near the cliff, you fell as the stars. You danced on the Sabath, they cursed your name. But you danced near the fire, so you are to blame. You danced with the devil and he stole your soul. You danced into hell so they took you whole. You danced in the moonlight, on the ice of the lake. You danced in the waters, washed clean as a slate. You danced in the starlight, and your body was reborn. You danced till you died, but your father didn't mourn. Now you dance in the heavens with your shoes made of gold. A soul that is bought, will now be sold. © 2016 DiewithmeAuthor's Note
