The Death Of A Loved One.

The Death Of A Loved One.

My thoughts

"

Not until this day have I realized
the friends I have
the friends I've had
the friends I've made
and the friends I've lost.

And the friends that I have know the longest
aren't necessarily the best.
All expect for one or two maybe.
But all the same.

Over the years I've gained many,
lost many, and became so much more than,
Friends.
But what does it all mean.

Will I know them next year?
Or after that?
Or after that?
Or when I'm dead?

Who's to say they will care,
they will cry when I am gone,
no one will bow their head in sorrow,
no one will pray to god I'm safe.

All but few friends do I truly care for,
and those are the ones who strive to see me smile,
the ones who have time for me in their heart,
even if their always busy.

And those who've tried to talk to me
and made an effort to continue this friendship made
to carry on that token of love and knowledge
and give more than before

Ask yourself what a friend is
think hard about it
because I am one to know

In reality I have few friends,
what are most but just another add, another count, another bystander.
In reality, I am alone.

Ask yourself. Who they are,
Save yourself the hurt.
Because when I die,

It's not the death of a loved one,
but the death of a human being.
-------------------------------------------

Oh friends,
You know who you are.
Never doubt it for a moment.

AH! Indeed. A very, for lack of a better word, good piece. I find myself reflecting on every friendship I have ever had. To be honest this piece has actually helped me out of a tough spot, it has reminded me to hold faith in who I am and for that I thank you. Good write. I look forward to reading more of your work.
