She's My Lover

She's My Lover

A Poem by D. L. Vaccaro
"

From November 19, 2006, For my muse...

"
She's sweet like honey and soft like rain,
She's full of pleasure and she's full of pain.
She's everything I asked for, and maybe more,
She's hard to forget and impossible to ignore.
She's hot like tamales and as cold as ice,
She never is vague and she always is precise.
She's always first, and never to be outdone,
She's a thousand different feelings melted into one.
She's the air that I breathe, she's the food that I eat,
She's the water that I drink, and the lover that I seek.
She's my beginning, she's my very end,
She's the only one who can even begin to comprehend.
She's my sun at noon, and my midnight moon,
She's the blade that cuts, and the sipping spoon.
She's dazed and confused but easily amused,
She's never denied and she's impossible to refuse.
She's the love that burns, and the love that hurts,
She's the love that conquers, and the love that converts.
She's the love that scorches the grassy ground,
She's the love that emanates its glow all around.
She's never hungry and never to be satisfied,
She's the only soul to whom I can confide.
She's my happiness, and she's my eternal bliss,
She's my fleeting felicity, and my late night kiss.
She's my woman, she's my eternal queen,
She's my lover, and my childhood dream.

Your muse is a lucky lucky person...it is truly an honor to be a muse and have something so beautifully written and dedicated to them. Very well done as usual.
