Again

Again

A Poem by D. L. Vaccaro

What a painful sight...
To see ones beloved in love.
What a terrifying plight...
To have fallen from grace above.
What a hurtful phrase...
To read their "I Love You"s.
What a strange day...
To be living in the Blues.
What a crying shame...
To love a bird that's flown.
What a burned out flame...
To see what hadn't been shown.
What a drenching rain...
To feel her love depart,
What a stinging pain...
To break your only heart.
Again and again and
Again and again and
Again and again and
Again and again and
Again

I like the repetition at the end. Funny how somethings can haunt us forever. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
