Lay your Lying Lines down, Loretta

Lay your Lying Lines down, Loretta

A Poem by D. L. Vaccaro

The gift of honesty would be nice every once and a while.
Lies only culminate in destruction, so why light a fire?
Burn it all down then, I'll build it back.
I won't leave, I won't die, not like them, not like the rest.
Support is rarely given to the self taught child.
Lies a self defense from getting intimate.
The false-hypocrite claims guilt when actually innocent.
Calls oneself a w***e when a virgin.
Legs warmed together like grasshoppers song.
Fakes experience to increase desirability,
But doesn't want loss of innocence so makes excuses.
Pointless reasons to keep from doing the things you claim.
