D is for Diamonds

D is for Diamonds

A Poem by D. L. Vaccaro

"
I want to get lost in her diamond eyes,
I need to lose the façade of my disguise,
I wish I could fly up to the silver moon,
I require another kiss before too soon.

A thousand smiles condensed into a tender kiss,
I'd trade a lifetime of pain for this moment of bliss.

Afraid to feel pleasure, afraid of labels,
I feel like a horse freed from his gables.
Desire and Love burn hot in my heart,
Longing is all I know whenever we part.

A thousand thrills columnate in the ruins of my soul,
I'd spend a million dollars just to lose control.

All my body is made of skin and bone,
All my soul wanted was to not be alone.
All my mind needed was to be at ease,
All my heart needs is wine and cheese.

A thousand passions make up the emotion of the night,
I could spend a million bucks and it'd never be this right.
