The darker side

I wrote this today. Not feeling like myself. I had to let it all out before It becomes too overwhelming.

I feel it breaking,
Cracking, curving,
Unusual shapes
My mind conforming
Into a form that it shouldn't be.

I feel it tugging
Seams unravelling,
Desires overtaking
A heavy presence stifling.
I shake and tremble feeling like something that isn't me.

The darkness awakening
My heart beat slowing,
The pressure descending,
My brain unwinding,
There is little hope left so I just let you be.

Like some creature crawling,
From cocoon opening,
My shadow hatching,
Sleepy eyes beholding,
I know that you're the darker side of me.

With the exception of the necessity of an "a" before "cocoon" or the pluralizing of "cocoon", this is goooooolden!! an utter freaking gem!! It hooks the reader, pulls them down to the depths of its darkened soul, and stabs theirs. Holy kwap! This is cathartic! My voice is in my awe!! Well freaking done!

So I haven’t been on this site in a while and though I’d check out people who once commented to me, and I’m so glad I looked at your writing!
This piece feels so good! it’s hard to explain, but a mixture of the good beat for a rhythm, clever rhyming between the ends of the verses and unique imagery just feels so good. Like i’ve seen something deep and vulnerable and was swept up in it, and both sympathises and enjoyed myself every second along the way.
