Escaping

Escaping

A Poem by Dianne S Penfold
"

It is so sad when someone believes that they have nothing else to love for. In these moments, may the light find us, before its too late.

"

Escaping, dark and dreary wine, spills its crimson upon white

silk,

From within me, bleeding rouge, Strangling, I lie in mid air

dangling, on your string.

Death gripping tightly upon my neck, ropes drawing lines,

digging into my soul,

Losing grip, hands can’t hold on to the light, betraying their

purpose,

Silently helpless, hurting and breathless, cursing existence!

Burning inside, rewriting my guilt over, and over, and over….

Shadows dancing closer, touching me, kissing my eyes,

whispering lies.

Poisoned fingers clenching down, 20 feet off the ground, the

broken tear drops fall.

Exploding quietly, dimming the glow that’s binding me, running

from reality,

I am no more!

Wonderful blending of images this piece though filled with sorrow is measured by a easy flow that leads the reader to a silent end.

Maybe because joy and anger makes us want to do and sadness just exposes are fragility
