Waves of Native Americans

Waves of Native Americans

A Poem by Diane Lockard
"

Beginnings of Native Americans, their connections to the Spirit world and nature

"
Crossing the land bridge from Siberia

Waves of Native Americans, harmonious with the Spirit world

Kachina dancers, seekers gathering in circles

Moving with the climates for spring renewal

Summer - their destination, fertile growing areas

Fresh water, magnifying with faith and nature intertwined

Children of all colors sit at their desks reading

Windowpanes reflect Golden eagles soaring over

An arrangement of bountiful corn and squash…

A good write. You have employed the ten words well, in a natural manner, whilst still getting your message across quite powerfully. Well penned.

Thank you, I appreciate your positive feedback and stopping by to share writing.
I see the American Indian as so much more enlightened than the anglo saxon world. FOr one they judge a man not by what he owns but by what he gives to others
