Grandma's Red and Purple Tea Party

Grandma's Red and Purple Tea Party

A Poem by Diane Lockard
"

I asked my great-granddaughter, to help me write a poem about a red and purple tea party, as our Red Hats, were attending a High tea at the Grand Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City....

"

A wonderful atmosphere with harp music, a lovely presentation with an array of teas, finger sandwiches, and desserts; spending an enjoyable afternoon with fellow Red Hatters sipping tea, eating, visiting, and listening to the harp...

Once, there was a cat that had a tall hat;
He was invited to tea, soon.
At the Grand Hotel, by the light of the moon.
When he arrived, he laughed to see all that was to be....
So many cats in red and purple hats, Alice, Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter,
"Look, over there, Puss 'n Boots."
Grandma Diane greeted him with a hug and a smile on her face.
"Sit down and have tea and tell me what you see?"
"Here comes the Queen and her Royal Court in their red and purple finery.."
