Dead men sing on the ocean floor
I search through the fractured hull.
I dive deeper into their dreams
As eels swim through faceless skulls.
Barnacles replace brain cells
Rusting bolts on yawning doors.
Seaweed weaves in dead men's hair
Flesh eaten by carnivores.
I hear the song of dead men
unburied with their history
I'm lost, I am entangled in
their heads so full of mystery.
As songs of solitude soothe me
I take my final breath
I 'll join in with the lost souls
The mermaid's song of Death.
