Butterfly Woman

Butterfly Woman

A Poem by Dianah
"

A tale of transformation

"

Curled up on a glistening leaf
like a sumptious treat for birds
Caterpillar girl mumbled
metamorphic words.
Wrapped in a caccoon so snug
the elements couldn't harm her
Not tempted by the Lizards lounge
And He was quite the charmer.

She woke up with the sunrise
dancing quietly on the lake
As she looked at her reflection
Confused at who would make
Her such a fine winged costume
that blew in the cool breeze
From her caccoon she emerged
Butterfly Woman was released.

I write , mainly poetry, about anything and everything. I have written song lyrics and seem to be addicted to rhyming. I hate writing blurbs for blogs as I never know what to say... I often confuse.. more..
