A short one inspired by an Oscar Wilde quote (and a bottle of Cobra)
The working class hero lost his way
'Work is the curse of the drinking classes'
But solutions to problems will never be found
In the bottom of empty beer glasses.
I love this poem, so true of 'up here' since thatchers boot boys kicked the pride from the working class in the 80's. I'm from the opposite side of the country so maybe we should get together and start a wholly northern revolution? Excellent work, but what did oscar wilde know about the working class anyway? I may be drunk Oscar, but while I'll be sober in the morning, you'll still be a pretentious middle class wanker! take care, spence

Short and sweet and to the point, and very very deep
I do think it's more to the British taste, I imagine an old pub full of pints and a dart board a pool table and The Arctic Monkeys on the Jukebox.
But what do I know?
Well done.
I write , mainly poetry, about anything and everything. I have written song lyrics and seem to be addicted to rhyming. I hate writing blurbs for blogs as I never know what to say...
I often confuse.. more..
