The Red Queen

The Red Queen

A Poem by Dianah

Dressed in grey the sky is sulking
washing colours into gutters
Darkness creeps like oil through veins
dripping as Despair dissects her
injecting poison mixed with pain
into old uncovered wounds
Hungry beasts open her heart
beating under a full moon.
Parasites cling to their host
Warmth and love are still rejected.
Alone she fights til she is drained.
The battle won, the Queen respected.

About
I write , mainly poetry, about anything and everything. I have written song lyrics and seem to be addicted to rhyming. I hate writing blurbs for blogs as I never know what to say... I often confuse.. more..
