Belladonna

Belladonna

A Poem by Dianah
"

Aka Deadly Nightshade, a poisonous plant with hallucinogenic qualties . Italian ~ Beautiful Woman.

"

Curls cascade framing beauty
Unsure what dress to wear
For the ball and out of duty
Belladonna in her hair.

Dilated eyes of green will smile
At the looks that pass her way
Many a heart she has beguiled
Many a waif she's led astray.

Lured with promises of love
Belladonna sings so sweetly
Angels hovering up above
Mesmerising him completely

Lost for words he's fallen deeply
With a smile upon his face
In her world forever sleeping
Belladonna leaves no trace.

Dear Dianah,

I like this a lot. The use of belladonna to describe a woman and her powers over men. Wonderful. Both leave no trace.

Best regards,

Rick
