The Prisoner's Tale

The Prisoner's Tale

A Poem by Dianah
"

It's not really about a prisoner...

"

THE  PRISONERS TALE

Those words flow through my blood
fresh like oxygen inhaled
they keep my heart pumping
while my soul is impaled.

Those words carved in my skin
like treasured tattoos
they saved me from drowning
in  waves of indigo blues.

Those words mix with mine
and when they are entwined
in my twisted up neurons
they get drenched in my mind.

Those words dance like flames
I feel them reignite me
They push me through brick walls
I feel them delight me.

Those words full of passion
words soaked in love and hate
served in equal portions
on our empty daily plates

Those words of hope will rise
on a dark oppressive day
I wrote these words of freedom
as they threw the key away.

It's about writers block. Do you think it works. Although it could work on both levels.

I write , mainly poetry, about anything and everything. I have written song lyrics and seem to be addicted to rhyming. I hate writing blurbs for blogs as I never know what to say... I often confuse.. more..
