The Prophet

The Prophet

A Poem by Diamonheart

My former dreams I have forsaken,

As time marched on over my life,

And deep beliefs have been shaken

By pain and strife.

One step follows another on the waters

The storm above my boat subsided,

And underneath the voices of the masters,

The molecules were re-divided.

Within a stomach, like a tomb,

The mountains under the sea were seen,

And deep tranquility within the womb,

Welcomed me into its dream.

No further time remains ashore,

The World Fish gave birth to me,

No clothing but the Sun I wore,

And Nineveh I never wished to see.
