4. Finally Aged

Chapter Four: 

Finally Aged

Winter vacation was finally here and more than half the school left to go see there's families. A black car waited for Dimitri and I. It was a long car ride to Italy, where my family lived and Dimitri's. 

 When we finally arrived, my parents and Dimitri's were waiting inside for us. We were greeted with big hugs. Everyone gathered in the living room and we told them about the academy and Maya. No one knew her family or ever heard about them which was odd for royals to not hear about a new vampire family. 

 My birthday was the following night. All of my family and family friends showed up, and same with Dimitri's family. Our two families have been close for centuries. 

It was a formal celebration with music and buffets. People gave short speeches and poems and such. In vampire families an aged ceremony last for at least two to three days. The first day is always formal. The second day is usually for the teens and the last is when your finished aging. 

Not all vampires finish aging at eighteen or our vampire world would look like a whole bunch of teenage mothers and fathers. Ha-ha. You can chose to age till your early twenties. 

 " Kyle dear, someone is here to see you personally." My mother tells me 

 

  I follow her to the other side of the room where Arina Shizuka is. She's a beautiful Japanese vampire. My parents want me to marry her, even though they know that I love Dimitri. They want children so our line doesn't end with me. But they seem to always forget I still have a sister. So our line won't end with me. 

  " Hi Kyle, it's wonderful to see you again." Arina says with a smile 

 " Yes, you too Arina." I reply 

 We talk for awhile, but I continually look over my shoulder at Dimitri who is waiting patiently for me to return. Eventually I am able to slip away from Arina when others come to talk to her. 

 I get back to Dimitri and he holds my hands, leading me to the dance floor while a song we both love plays. We feel no shame in dancing together. Everyone knows how much inlove we are, but not everyone accepts it, but that doesn't mean they dislike us. My mother thinks it fine, though she wishes I would marry and love a girl. Like Arina. 

  We continue to dance to the music. Dimitri's eyes gaze into mine. This house was very much like the academy. It had a secret garden just behind a red and gold rug. A garden nobody remembered. My bedroom in this house was also connected to the secret garden. The doors the led into the garden were covered with vines and bushes from the outside. 

Dimitri and I stole away into the garden later during the night. There were beautiful glowing roses and pink and purple glowing trees. It's a vampire thing, being able to grow plants that are odd colours and that either sparkle or glow. Some gardens vampires grew, I guess you could say, looked a lot like the scenery in Avatar. 

 

We stood beneath a pink and purple glowing tree, which golden specks always fluttered to the ground. Dimitri and I kissed under the tree, golden flecks landing on us. He looked at me, I was already out of breath from that kiss. He's never kissed me this hard before.  

His hand runs down the side of my body and pushes my shirt up and over my head. His continues  to consume me. He soon removes his shirt to. We slide down to the stone ground that surrounds the  tree.  Dimitri's hands are all over my body. 

His lips were so warm as he ran them down to my necklace. He gently kissed and nipped at my neck with his teeth without breaking the skin. I could feel his heart beating hard and fast against my chest. Desire and yearning had built up in both of us during the years we've been together, and now all of it was about to be released. 

He was kissing me fiercely and so fast I could barely breath. Our breathing was quick and hard. The places he touched burned with pleasure. I didn't imagine this feeling so good. Just then i felt a dull pain as he entered me. 

 

" Dimitri! Ahh.." I cried out 

I wrapped my arms around his broad his shoulders. Moans of pleasure came out from both of us. It was painful but still so good. Beads of sweat rolled down both of our bodies. I gasped for breath, but he would barely let me. He left a trail of kiss down my body. Just then he slowly bit into my neck. It added to the pleasure. I held onto his body tightly as he drank from me.   

The night air was cool. I was lost in the feelings. Soon I felt sleep taking over. I could tell the same happened to Dimitri. I closed my eyes and was out instantly.

 When I woke the next morning I was laying in my bed. Dimitri's arms were wrapped around me. I sat up and looked at his sleeping face. 

I get up and shower and dress for the day. The upcoming evening would be the second celebration.  Arina spotted me and she quickly walked over.

    " Where did you go last night? I was waiting for you." She says in a slightly whinny voice

    " Um I was around, some where, I guess you didn't look hard enough." I lie

    She tilts her head to the side and then puts her hands on my chest. " Look Kyle. I know your inlove with Dimitri but he's a GUY, you need a woman. Someone like me." Arina whispers to me

    " Arina, I don't like you like that okay? I know our parents dream of us marrying but it will NOT happen." I say briskly, pushing past her fiercely. I joined Dimitri in the family room where all the rest of my family and his were waiting.

   I stood with Dimitri and my mother rose. " Kyle, Dimitri, we must talk. About your relationship."

It might be a great practice to try and start limiting how many words you end in "ly", like
fiercely, gently, briskly, slightly, tersely, carefully, happily, gleefully, etc.

Too many in a sentence, or in several sentences in a paragraph, can become redundant, and exhaust the meaning in the words.
I used to do this all the time when I started out writing, and I still have problems with doing it. Don't worry though, you don't need to edit anything right away, they're just minor little glerbs that happen naturally.
I just wanted to point it out for now.

It's easy to re-arrange the words and meanings with different phrasing and terms, to keep the pacing between each scene on track, as well as to keep the reader refreshed with content that seems new in each paragraph. Too much of the same thing can deter readers from moving forward, or feeling like a hassle trying to continue with the story.

I dunno, I'd thought I'd point that out. I think I'm done reviewing for now, but I might do it again tomorrow when I've really read this chapter. My apologies if these reviews are a bother, I don't mean any disrespect. It's a fantastic story, and I'm glad there's so many chapters. It shows how inspired you are as a writer, and promises a great intellect in your writing. :)
I really like it and support it, and I want to help patch it up a little with some suggestions and possible ways of changing things up.

You don't need to take it though. It's your awesome story. :D
