2. Maya

Chapter Two: 

Maya

Kyle

  When we got back to our room that night (Your morning) we fell back onto the bed, the windows went pitch black so the light didn't bother the vampires. 

He kissed me gently at first.  I wanted him. I slowly pulled on the buttons on my shirt but he put his hand over mine and stopped me. 

" No Kyle." He whispered 

" But Dimitri..." 

He kissed me again. " I'm not going to until your aged enough. It wouldn't be safe for a Vampire and a Dhampire-X like that yet..."

He let my hands drop and just lay there. I wasn't 17 yet, and with any kind of relationships between vampires and a Dhampire of any kind, doing things like that wasn't safe, even with two guys. Apparently, if your not 17 yet, the Vampire will take out all you energy and lifespan into them without knowing it. It didn't always happen, but 3/4 times it did happen. 

I got up and slightly pulled the curtain back. It wasn't sunny out at all. Thick rain clouds covered the sky. It was a little windy too. 

" What month is it?" I asked 

" End November." Dimitri replied 

Around a month until I turned 17. 

" It should begin snowing soon." 

I went back to my bed and went to sleep. The Soiree was over finally. The Blood Moon would be out for four more days.

  The following day(night) Maya joined us for lunch in the courtyard. I sat closer to Dimitri than usual. I felt a little over protective to stay near him. I didn't like the way Maya was always watching him so closely. 

" So, you two seem really close." Maya says 

" Yes, we've known each other since elementary school." I reply 

She looks at me. As if telling me to go away. I narrowed my eyes at her until she looked away. I noticed her getting closer to Dimitri. 

" So Dimitri, did you chose to be his guardian? Or did you get stuck with it?" She asks 

We're both taken-a-back at the words she used. Stuck with me? That b***h! 

" Um, I actually had a hard time becoming his guardian, so many others wanted the spot but I fought for it." Dimitri told her 

She sits back. " Really?" She flips her dark hair, exposing her chest a little. 

I wanted to walk over there and strangle her, yelling at her to stop trying to make moves on MY boyfriend!!! I thought Maya was a shy girl, but she's a little s**t who wants to steal someone else's boyfriend. 

Wait, she didn't KNOW we were dating. I had to let her know. It's not like it's a big deal, everyone at the academy knows. Well, they don't really know for sure, it's been a rumor around the school for the longest time. A true rumor. 

" Yeah, and now we've been TOGETHER, for four years now. He became my guardian in seventh grade and then other things changed." I explained to her with an icy tone. 

" Oh I see." Maya replies coldly 

Dimitri noticed some tension between Maya and I. Maybe it was because there were real lighting bolts flying from us to the other. 

B***h. I thought

A*****e. She thought 

" Okay! Well we should all get to class now!" Dimitri says nervously

I rip away and pull Dimitri to the doors, Maya stomping off in the other direction. I was fuming with anger. I can't believe her! Acting all innocent then starts making flirty motions towards Dimitri. 

The rest of the day tension built up more and more between the two of us. Having to sit through classes together was torture. I hope her exchange student days would end soon and she could go back to dullsville. 

When school was over and we got back to our dorm I knew I had to tell Dimitri. 

" Dimitri, Maya's no good." I say 

" Huh? What do you mean?" He asks confused 

" She's flirting with you, trying to take you from me. Can't you tell?"

He laughs and faces me. " Don't worry Kyle, I'm not interested in her at all! Your the only one for me." He reassures me

He reaches out and pulls me into him. 

" Really?" 

" Really. I will never betray you. I love only you." He whispers in my ear and bites me. 

" Good..."

This chapter is cute.
I'd rather that the proper words describing the verbs and stuff were used instead, like

I paused, skeptical.
"Really?" I asked after a few heart beats.
Reaching out, he grasped my wrists and pulled me toward him.

Just these kinds of little things to really put effort in using just the right words to bring life out of the them, and to really construct a story that will relate well with the readers is really what I as a reader looks for. I'm sorry if I'm butchering the way you really envisioned your story, I'm just offering what I feel could help.
