If Chest of Draws Could Speak

If Chest of Draws Could Speak

A Poem by DiamondNRough AKA Patty Rase Hopson

Giving away my Old Chest of Draws,

today to a family in need.

Dusting off and shining up

I thought what all these

Chest of  Draws have seen.

Stashed in the corner of

my bedroom, from about age

three until my twenties.

IF only these Chest of Draws

could speak.

They seen everything that

went on in my bedroom

 everyday and everynight.

The touching, the feeling,

the hugging, tickling and whispering.

Oh if only those Chest of

Draws could speak.

Proud to say not much I have left

of those horrible childhood days.

Only hidden scars that will never

heal, hidden deep within my

soul.

I only hope those Chest of

Draws never live through

the same things they seen

in my bedroom, with the

new family who own them today.
