WHAT A BLESSING

WHAT A BLESSING

A Poem by DiamondNRough AKA Patty Rase Hopson

The temperatures are still warm

but the breeze is starting to cool.

It's time to replace the bright impatiences

with yellow and purple mums and pansies.

Our favorite teams are on the field

and the bands are strutting with their horns.

The kids are back at doing homework

daily after school.

It's time to schedule my volunteer hours

in the yearly missions Pumkin Patch.

It's obvious that

Fall is drawing near.

What a blessing,

it's my favorite time of the year.
