BABY GIRL

BABY GIRL

A Poem by DiamondNRough AKA Patty Rase Hopson
"

Today our Baby Girl started her first day of high school.

"

BABY GIRL where did you go?

I can't believe, you went

your first day of school,

for the first time without me.

Ten years straight, we had a date.

Walking in together,to get things straight.

Today, all grown up,

you just jumped out

as I pulled up and stopped.

With friends only you

walked in with.

Freshman year means just

four more years.

Next year I don't even

get to drop you off.

Baby girl where did you go?

I am so proud of the young

woman, everyone now knows.
