A Precious Gift Of Pottery

A Precious Gift Of Pottery

A Poem by DiamondNRough AKA Patty Rase Hopson

I'm sitting here at my desk,

Admiring your precious pottery gift.

You were so young, full of life,

With imagination and creativity.

You molded this vase,

And with your tiny finger tips,

Developed the fancy opening

To look like lace.

You added designs of markings,

Those were original

And only came from within

Your own mind.

Do you know how beautiful,

Your own mind can still be?

Allow your mind to develop

Your own design and be FREE.

At 8 years old you used your mind,

Influenced by No One.

You produced a beautiful piece of pottery

I'll cherish it always.

Use YOUR MIND and mold yourself,

Influenced by No ONE.

Become your own piece of

Beautiful  Precious Pottery.

Except yourself and your self worth.

A return gift from me.
