Overthink

Overthink

A Poem by Dhruv Grover

I tend to overthink.
While others make decisions in a blink,
I take time to put it to ink.
Take this poem, thinking of words to link.
I sit in class and think,
Why do I overthink?

I put a lot to thought,
in search of an answer of some sort.
In exchange I don't expect a lot,
just a little thought,
to which I am ought.
Why do I put a lot to thought?

My mind feels full of belief;
wanting for some relief.
Like a little coral in a reef,
like in a big tree a little leaf;
but there's no time now to grief.
Now it's shaken, my belief.

. . . .
(I've stolen my favorite part, hope you don't mind.)

Overthinking about overthinking is a very easy thing to do- and you've happened to write an amazing poem about it. (Props to you!) This reads stunningly- as one connected thought with different angles, much like overthinking itself. Great idea, great execution, is what I'm trying to say! I would rate this an 100.5 if it was possible.

Please, keep writing!

(P.S., sorry I was late to this, but it was worth checking it out in the end.)
