Another Brick in the Wall

Something that I have always believed in, something I believe should be talked upon!

Everyone asks you to do something,

something they could not do;

and when you do that something, all you receive is a 'boo'!

Rather, don't do that something.

Just do what you like,

and live a happy life!

Things may not work out every time;

just give a smile to that time.

Because, like all good and bad things alike-

it too shall pass.

From you birth till your death,

from your first cry till you last breath;

why do we try to please everyone?

Just so that everyone leaves you as one?

'Just do what everyone has done!

Or you shall be none!'

Why do what everyone does?

Open your mind, don't let it close!

Be a good athlete, a teacher, or even a writer;

than a bad doctor or and engineer.

Now, this is a message to all-

Just don't be another brick in the wall!

I liked the above lines. Relatable.
Sometimes, we get so lost in thinking about what kind of expectations others would have of us? trying to please everyone around us, we try so hard knowing it is not possible.
You convey a very powerful message here...societal pressure...not listening to ourselves often.
