Steady Hallowed Shadow

Steady Hallowed Shadow

A Poem by T. N. Hodges

Tin flavors in the breeze
with plumes
bucolic
dalliance of a few moons
many moons ago-
optimism I couldn't really touch
years ago, they
didn't know my name
and in years to come
it will be the same
living somewhere
the sun never rises;
the moon never lies down
I can see in nephilim dreams
harbingers are few
Delicate fonts
and words can explain-
the thought escapes me

Social Mother

Hardened wings show

Signs of worth

This too shall pass

This too will come

to a steady halt
