Microbes

Microbes

A Poem by T. N. Hodges
"

Not completed

"
for just a minute
I was distracted
and saw in pastel
in blue hues-
what I would give
for those chemicals

All the wine
and the fire
and the microbes
and sorrow

you don't have to
if you don't want to-

all the pills
and love
and touch
and love
we will fade on greyscale

for just a second
I had reacted
and felt a streak of
electricity

What I would give
for those chemical reactions

This was a great read for me. I like the thought of chemical reaction as the act of attraction. There something solid about that type of bond between two people that may have moments of bend, though never a break. Great read.
