Dash Away

Dash Away

A Poem by DhaVerd

I'm here once again-
Overwhelmed by my past
Comes back at the last hours of the day
I'm not okay, not able to sleep.
I don't wish to keep such horror within my mind.
From my past I dash, the past finds me no matter what
How can I help another who is as broken than me?
She seemed so perfect, ripe from my dreams
So it seemed yet she wasn't right for me, she's at least better than my ex one and three.
Please I just wish to dream, please everything go away, please some madam come find me.
I'm clinging to my sanity
Hoping you are a reality
Please be my melody
With these haunting memories the dark feels quite deadly
I want to let go but first you must show
Raise me up onto my toes
Grip me and never let go.
