What Shined So BrightA Story by DhaVerd
I saw something what looked like a shooting star, but a little more than that, either way I'm making a depressing story of it:
I saw something so bright with beauty, it was so out of reach, so far out reach that it inspires me with life.. Then it falls before my eyes, dead, too far out of reach from my hands. It looked so close, yet out of reach. So bright, yet it died. From my step out into this cold world, I looked up to where hope burns bright to only find darkness. Nothing but the endless blanket doming the world, but suddenly there was that one light. Then it fell. Took my breath away; but did my breath take it's life? Reality: that's what we live in. One has asked before: Why do people get so depressed. I responded: We're all just going to die. This one person took my words to a "positive route" though that was not my intention. You see, that light that died before my eyes goes to show reality. How can we enjoy what we live through when all that shines brighter than anything else dies before our eyes. We possess the power to make life, yet we can save it from death. We possess the capability of falling in love, yet we can save it from the end. I walked out into the world to find a shining beacon flash before my eyes, too out of reach to be touched, and fell into abyss. © 2014 DhaVerd |
